I tried to pick a favorite. Of Andre's, it may be "The Mast" or "Castle." I love that kind of misty-moisty atmosphere. The fact that painting is his secondary pursuit is quite amazing. One can only imagine what prodigies he performs in his own specialty. Of Vanessa's, my favorite may be "Rain? Snow?", which is very striking, with "Red Cows" a very close second. Another of Vanessa's ("Rope-walker") immediately reminded me of "Uprising," a great favorite of mine by Lyonel Feininger. The similarity is not apparent, but a kindred spirit seems to enliven both paintings. For me, anyway. I am a very visceral responder to art.
ReplyDelete"The Mast" - super!!!
ReplyDeleteDear Andre! Your "Castle" rocks!
ReplyDeleteVery impressive composition and amazing pallet of white colors. Tall and dark pillars look misterious - not really threat but protect small houses between shining snow valley.
It's a bit difficult to comment 4 pictures in one post. They are so different. I like they all.
ReplyDelete"The Mast" is just super! Very British mood.
The flying girl that can't decide if it's snow or rain - I guess it's the dream. Isn't it?
I am courious if "Castel" is painted on plein air? Where is this magic place?
"Patrool" is one of my favorites too.
Really impressive stock of paintings.
Воина в тумане неизвестности и непредсказуемости.
ReplyDeleteFor "Castle":
ReplyDelete- Професор, происжодяшие реально или оно в моей голове?
- Конечно в твоей голове! Но почему Ты решил что если это в твоей голове то оно не реально?
Your paintings are wonderful. Thought provoking and other worldy.
ReplyDeleteAll the best to you
