EN PLEIN AIR IN PINE GROVE.

Due to relocation to the North region of our beautiful country I got great opportunity to discover new exciting locations to paint.

The land is in bloom and I keep my brush up !

This wonderful pine grove is located in short walk distance from the studio. Of course it was the 1st choice for plein air. Amazed by pine trees, I came there to paint their golden trunks and moving shadows but I couldn't take my eyes from thickets of bugenvilija at the background and started to develop them. I was very enthusiastic and complete this painting in one shot, doing all work a-la-prima. When I was into my final strokes, going to complete the painting, I discovered big figure in black walking white dog - right against me. Lady was fully concentrated on her telephone and seen nothing around. They stuck "in frame" for a while - enough to paint them into the landscape.

Happy New Year 2021!

Dear Folks ! 😁

HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all ! Wish you health and happiness and smartness and lot of energy to survive all unexpected. Together we can move the mountains.

To tell how 2021 started we need to mention 2020th that passed. At the very last days of the past year we received a request for the painting. We are so thankful to the buyer who definitely "made" our New Year Eve ! Now we are into the lockdown (COVID quarantine) and have time to prepare the painting to shipping.

This is the painting that found the new owners and will be leaving us very soon.

We started from cleaning dust and firming the background surface.

The next step - to build the frame.

Normally we don't deal with framing, but in this specific case we will. Since virus-situation is still very bad, visiting of frame-shop would be tricky for our customer.

We have nice frame that fits the size, but color ... Our frame is dark brown with some golden elements, it looks gloomy and will make winter landscape even darker then it is.

So we will turn it into white!

For getting steady color - will do it in very slim layers and let it
for a night for complete drying before covering the next one.

V&A STUDIO at 2020

Definitely 2020th was a weird year - The Year Of Corona. Together with the rest of the world we lived from lockdown to lockdown, isolated from any live activities and not able to live our European summer this year. Of course, in these conditions we couldn't manage neither plein air sessions, nor group teaching. It didn't make any cense to exhibit in empty holes, to think about future workshops, to advertise. And so. WE WANNA THANK FROM THE DEPTH OF OUR HEARTS to people who staid loyal to V&A Studio also at 2020. There are old and new collectors, supporting friends, patient family, people who passed by with no making damage, honest Irish businessman who defended us from the scammers, our family of like-minded artist friends who keep linked with each other.

Our guests, clients, gallerists and collectors - local and foreign.
